My Wedding Flower Checklist

Weddings have so many components and moving parts that it can feel like an overwhelming undertaking at times.

Flowers are no exception to that, which is why I am creating a Little Red approved, Wedding Flower Checklist, in hopes to take away some of that extra work and to alleviate that haunting thought…‘are we forgetting something?!’

You may be wondering first, how do ‘I’, Little Red, the one writing this…qualify to even grace you with my opinion on Wedding flowers, let alone create a checklist for you to consider in your floral wedding planning process? I’m glad you asked! I have over 4 years of working experience in a brick and mortar flower shop, where I took and executed many wedding orders myself! This means I’ve consulted with quite an array of Brides, Grooms, Wedding Planners, Parents… the list goes on. I’ve done wedding orders from extravagant $5,000+ budgets all the way to $500 budgets, and even the DIY bride! Rest assured I am no stranger to the Wedding Flower game! The icing on the ‘wedding’ cake to my experience is that my husband and I actually did our own wedding flowers which I’m not too certain I’d recommend to others however, it allowed me to gain even more floral perspective as a bride myself!

All couples envision their wedding days very different than the next which is why I love Wedding flowers so much. There is no right or wrong way to have/do them! My Wedding Flower Checklist below is everything I can possibly come up with even wanting to have or think about having on your big day! Not all things on this list may feel necessary, and that’s okay, pick and choose what you like! With that being said if what you are envisioning isn’t on my list, that doesn’t mean I can’t do it. I love to consult with new ideas all the time because let’s face it, I’m just one brain with a ton of floral imagination, wanting to make your floral dreams a true reality! I can work with anyone and any idea! Here’s my list!

  • Arch/Arbor/Altar Hanging Floral Piece

  • Large Arrangments for Altar or beside Arch

  • Flower Girl/Boy Corsage/Boutonniere

  • Flower Girl/Boy Basket of Petals

  • Ring Bearer Corsage/Boutonniere

  • Pew Flowers or Bows

  • Reception Table Centerpieces

  • Sign-In Table Arrangement/loose flowers

  • Head Table Arrangement(s)

  • Food Table Arrangements/loose petals or flowers
